Pakistan Army and nefarious intelligence service - ISI again poisons Afghanistan girls
When will the interference of Pakistan in the internal affairs of Afghanistan stop?
MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan : Dozens of Sorkhak girls’ high school students were poisoned on Sunday in the northern province of Sar-i-Pul, officials said. The incident took place at around 11am in the Sar-i-Pul city of the province but the cause of the poisoning is not known, the education director, Abdul Ghafoor Sar-i-Puli told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Director of public health Dr. Mohammad Amin Alteem said 94 girls had been taken to the hospital.
Many students developed symptoms such as rashes and suffered dizziness, and authorities are investigating to find the cause of the incident, he said. More than 100 students of the Imam Yahya girls’ high school were poisoned on Saturday in the province. The public health and security officials said poisonous substance or gas sprayed in the classrooms that had affected the girls. The authorities suspect agents of Pakistan's nefarious intelligence agency behind this outrage.
Earlier a Pakistani woman Dr. was headed by the Afghanistan police on a similar poisoning case in a neighboring district.

Korea Aerospace Industries - T 50 aircraft
The T-50 was developed by Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd., with cooperation and global marketing support from Lockheed Martin. Both firms were aware that many training aircraft fleets are aging, even as higher-performance fighters demand trainer aircraft that can keep up. The Korean government needed a fleet of trainers, and saw an opportunity to give their aerospace sector a strong boost in the process. Total investment in the T-50’s RDT&E program amounted to more than $2 billion: 70% from the Korean government, 17% from KAI, and 13% from Lockheed Martin.
With a length of 43 feet and a wingspan of 30 feet, the 2-seat T-50 is about 4 feet shorter than the F-16; overall, it’s only about 80% of the F-16’s size. The relative size of the control surfaces and tails are larger, however, to improve handling characteristics at lower speeds and make the aircraft easier to land. Larger landing gear is also fitted, to absorb harder landings, which is to be expected from student pilots. Its form’s resemblances to Lockheed Martin’s F-16 are suggestive, and include the blended mid-set wing, complete with leading-edge root extensions and rear ‘shelf’ fairings ending in F-16-style split airbrakes.

Russia completes India’s submarine modernisation programme
The INS Sindhurakshak submarine came off the slips at the Zvezdochka
shipyard in Severodvinsk on Saturday, marking the completion of a
mid-life refit programme for the Indian Navy’s Kilo-class
diesel-electric submarines in Russia.
During a two-year in-depth modernisation the torpedo-firing INS
Sindhurakshak, built in 1997, has been equipped with the tube-launched
Club-S cruise missiles effective against surface vessels and submarines
at a range of about 200 km. It has also been provided with some
Indian-made systems, including a hydro-acoustic "USHUS" complex, a
CCS-MK radio-communication system and Porpoise Electronic Support
Measures. After going through sea trials and firing tests the submarine
will be handed over to the Indian Navy later this year.
The INS Sindhurakshak is the seventh and the last of the 10 Kilo-class
submarines that India bought from Russia between 1986 and 2000 to have
undergone mid-term repairs and modernisation in Russia. Of the remaining
three submarines one was repaired in India and the two others are
currently under repair in India.
Even as Russia prepares to deliver the last retrofitted submarine to
India, Russia’s top shipbuilding official has come up with the idea of a
second mid-life repair of the Indian Navy’s Kilo-class submarines. “A second repair will add another 5 to 7 or even 10 years to the
submarines’ scheduled 20-year service life,” said Andrei Dyachkov,
Director General of Sevmash shipyard, who is expected to take over as
the head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, which controls 70 per
cent of Russia’s s shipbuilding assets, next month. “This will help the
Indian Navy maintain its submarine strength in view of delays in the
induction of French-built Scorpene subs and in floating a tender for six
more diesel-electric submarines,” he said.

Uganda detains five Pakistanis suspected of militant links
Uganda was among a few African countries where Pakistanis could get a quick visa. Now even that will be closed.
KAMPALA: Uganda has arrested five Pakistanis suspected of militant links, police said on Tuesday, two weeks before the second anniversary of a bombing attack in Kampala for which Somali rebel group al Shaabab claimed responsibility.
Officials say the country is vulnerable to further attacks from al Shabaab who have vowed to keep striking until a Ugandan army contingent, leading an African Union-mandated force protecting Somalia’s government, withdraws. The area where the five men were arrested was formerly a base for now-dormant rebel group, Allied Democratic Forces (ADF-NALU), which officials say has links to al Shabaab. Chaos in Somalia has allowed militants to thrive and launch deadly attacks in the region.
Deputy police spokesperson Judith Nabakoba told Reuters the men were detained in the western district of Ntoroko near the Rwenzori mountains on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Sunday. “We got suspicious because these five Pakistanis were coming from Congo and entering Uganda through an ungazetted border point,” Nabakoba said.
She said they were with a Congolese man who was not carrying proper identification documents, and that they had been taken to Kampala for further investigation.
Al Shabaab, which is closely linked to al Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the July 2010 bombing in which 79 people were killed while watching the final of the football world cup.
Although ADF-NALU has long been inactive, officials say they are still a credible security threat from their bases in eastern DRC, where they fled after being defeated and ejected from western Uganda in the late 1990s.
The group, formed in 1996, wants to establish an Islamic state in Uganda and the Ugandan army says ADF’s recruits are predominantly young Muslims.

Two pairs of boots belonging to the missing pilots of a downed Turkish jet have been found, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said during a meeting with opposition leaders.
The prime minister showed the photos of the boots to opposition leaders during the meeting, daily Hürriyet reported.
There were no signs of any parachutes, and the pilots may not have used their ejection seats, according the information given by the prime minister.
Turkish naval and air forces have been attempting to locate Capt. Gökhan Ertan and Lt. Hüseyin Aksoy since their jet was hit by Syrian forces in international waters on June 22.
A vessel equipped with the technology necessary to conduct a more detailed search of the area has already been dispatched to the area to assist ongoing efforts by Turkish and Syrian coastguard boats.

Syria Shoots Down Turkish Warplane
Is Turkey going to war with Syria and Iran now?
The Syrian military has admitted it shot down a Turkish fighter jet - claiming the aircraft had been flying inside Syria's territorial waters.
The revelation comes after hours of confusion as to what happened to the plane and its pilots.Turkey says it will "take the necessary decisive measures once it has all the details" of what occured.
Turkey's military earlier announced it had lost contact with the F4 jet while it was over the sea off the southeastern coast, near the Syrian border.
Earlier, in his first public comments on the warplane's loss, Turkish prime minister Tayyip Erdogan told reporters that he could not say whether the plane had crashed or been shot down.

Pakistani female doctor liked with Pakistan Army poisoned Afghan girl school students
Afghan intelligence on Wednesday accused Pakistani spies of poisoning schoolgirls as authorities battle to halt a string of alleged attacks that have sown panic in parts of the north.
PESHAWAR: A Pakistani female doctor was among 11 persons
arrested on the basis of suspicion in Afghanistan’s Takhar province following
yet another incident in which around 50 school girls fainted and were rushed to
hospital. Mustafa Rasuli, the press office incharge in the northern Takhar province, told
the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that the security forces arrested the 11
suspects, including the Pakistani doctor, over the last two days in Taloqan and
Rustaq districts on suspicion of involvement in the poisoning of schoolgirls.
He said evidence recovered from them showed they were involved in incidents of
poisoning at the schools. He didn’t identify the Pakistani doctor or the
organization for which she was working.
The latest incident of school girls fainting happened in a government institution in Rustaq district. The Takhar district administrator, Haji Hussain, told AIP that 50 schoolgirls fainted and became unconscious when they entered the school. Schoolgirls have been poisoned in the Takhar province several times.
Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency is widely reviled in Afghanistan, where it is accused of fomenting the Taliban insurgency due to its historic links to the Islamist Afghan militia that ruled from 1996 to 2001. A teacher and three female students are among those arrested and all 15 have confessed to being involved in poisoning, Mashal said.

Russia’s Eastern Military District took delivery of a “regimental” set of S-400 Triumph air defense missile systems, the Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
Russia currently has four S-400 regiments - two in the Moscow region, one in the Baltic Fleet and one in the Eastern Military District.
By 2020, Russia is to have 28 S-400 regiments, each comprised of two battalions, mainly in maritime and border areas.
The S-400 Triumph long- to medium-range surface-to-air missile system can effectively engage any aerial target, including aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and cruise and ballistic missiles at up to 400 kilometers and an altitude of up to 30 kilometers.
The Russian Defense Ministry has said there are no plans so far to export the S-400, which will be produced only for the Russian Armed Forces.

Saudi military attaché attached to embassy in Pakistan roughed up at at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport
This happened during body search security check. Enraged, the Saudi official abused Pakistan and called Pakistani officials his “servants”.

RAWALPINDI: Airport Security Force personnel at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport allegedly entered into an altercation with the military attaché of the Saudi embassy on Thursday, after he refused to cooperate during security checks and abused Pakistan and called Pakistani officials his “servants”.
According to officials from the ASF, Colonel Sukhari, who was meant to fly out to Riyadh, refused to get a routine body check and started quarrelling with the security personnel at the airport. The ASF officials said that the military attaché insisted that he was not subject to a body search because he was a diplomat. The Saudi embassy official became abusive and attacked the ASF officials, say eye witnesses. He also abused Pakistanis in general and called them “servant class,” said eyewitnesses. An official from the Airport Police said the Saudi official started the fight by slapping an ASF official, identified as Idrees.
Following this, the ASF staff started tried to restrain Sukhari. While speaking to the media at the airport after being medically examined, the colonel denied starting the fight and claimed that the security staff misbehaved with him and his son. The embassy official added that he would initiate criminal proceedings against the ASF security staff.
The Saudi Embassy, refused to comment on the incident. Medical Superintendent BBH Dr Asif Qadir Mir informed the media that a medical examination of Colonel Sukhari had been carried out, which showed that he was bruised. ASF officials also received injuries. Sukhari was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences by Saudi ambassador Abdul Aziz Bin Ibrahim for treatment. But no such relief was accorded to ASF officials, said sources.
No FIR has been registered.

Landikotal, Pakistan bomb blast - Another day another bomb blast
Taliban have made the lives of ordinary Pakistanis very hard

| Pakistan Burning everywhere |
A car bomb ripped through parking area of Bazaar Zakhakhel in Landikotal on Saturday, killing 25 people and injuring more than 65, officials said. “The death toll is 25,” from the blast in the main bazaar of Landikotal, local administration chief Mutahir Zeb said.
Zeb said there were 18 bodies at the Landikotal hospital while seven victims died while being taken for treatment in Peshawar. The dead included three children aged nine, 10 and 12, he added. “More than 20 wounded victims were rushed to Peshawar in critical condition,” a doctor told, adding that the death toll might rise. Body parts were seen scattered all around.
The explosion also destroyed 12 shops and many vehicles. Jamaat-e-Islami Landikotal leader Abdur Rauf Shinwari lost his younger brother Qari Abdur Rahim Shinwari in the blast. Some Khasadar Force personnel were injured in the explosion. Motor mechanic Sajidullah Khan, who was wounded in the leg, forearms and face, told AFP, “I was checking a car when I heard a huge blast nearby. I knew nothing afterwards and came to the hospital.” Shakoor Jan, an electrician, said he was sitting in his shop when the blast rocked the whole area. “There was fire in several shops,” he said. No group had claimed responsibility for the blast until filing of this report. Arshad Khan, a local administration official, said the blast appeared to be aimed at members of the pro-government Zakhakhel tribe, who oppose a local warlord, Mangal Bagh who leads Lashkar-e-Islam. “The bomb was planted in a pick-up truck parked near the bus stand,” Khan said.
Fourth T-50 Stealth Fighter to Fly This Year
Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) is to introduce a fourth Sukhoi T-50 stealth fighter into its test and development program this year, the company's President Mikhail Pogosyan said on Thursday.
"We are now testing three aircraft. A fourth will be brought in this year," he said.
Pogosyan had said earlier this year that the firm would introduce a fourth aircraft into the test program but did not disclose when.
The first production standard T-50 is due to enter service with the Russian Air Force by 2015, and the first evaluation example by 2013. The service plans to acquire 60 of the fifth-generation fighters.
The T-50, also known as project PAK-FA, first flew on January 29, 2011 and was first publicly revealed at the Moscow Air Show in August that year.
India will also acquire an advanced fighter aircraft based on the T-50.

The Finnish Army has selected the Israeli company Elbit Systems to supply ‘soldier systems’ equipping Finnish infantry commanders to function command, control and communications in dismounted operations. This acquisition is the first phase of a comprehensive ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) program known as STAR. The solution offered by Elbit Systems includes the compact MARS handheld targeting device, coupled with a computer systems loaded with situation awareness software, connected through the man-portable PNR1000 wearable soldier radio. The system is intended to enhance the operational capabilities of the Finnish Army in the areas of reconnaissance, terrain dominance and dismounted operations. The new system will also support the Finnish Army in developing new combat doctrines, and as a basis for developing its future forward observation program.
Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, General Manager of Elbit Systems’ Land and C4I Division, commented: “We are proud that Finland, a NATO Partner of Peace, has selected our systems following a rigorous competition, including field testing in Lapland. 4G War - Different generations of warfare
First Generation War was “war of line and column tactics, where battles were formal and the battlefield was orderly.” The classic 1G war was fought 260 years ago between Frederick the Great and the Austrian army commanded by Prince Charles Alexander of Lorraine. This was the Battle of Hohenfriedberg in which both the armies had at least four characteristics: state actors, massed manpower, uniformed soldiers and line & column tactics.
Frederick the Great had 58,500 uniformed soldiers and 192 guns versus Austria’s 58,700 uniformed soldiers and 122 guns. Other 1G wars, with ‘line and column tactics’, include the English Civil War of 1642, the Anglo-Spanish War of 1654 and the Napoleonic Wars that began in 1803.
Second Generation War was about six things: rifled muskets, trench warfare, fire team manoeuvres, artillery support, reconnaissance capacity and camouflage. The classic 2G war was the Battle of Gettysburg fought 149 years ago. Major General George Meade fought and defeated the Confederate States Army commanded by Colonel Robert Edward Lee.
The commanding generals of 2G warfare continued with “lines of battle but focused more on the use of technology to allow smaller units” of men to undertake independent missions. The primary infantry weapon used was the “single-shot, muzzle-loading, rifled musket measuring 4.7 feet long and weighing a little more than 9 pounds.” Both the Union and the Confederate army were supported by artillery. The Union Army had 360 cannons versus 270 with the Confederate Army and the most commonly used smoothbore cannon – by both sides – was the twelve-pound cannon ‘Napoleon’.
The Spanish Civil War of 1936 and WWI are other examples of 2G warfare. The use of smaller units meant “faster advances, less concentrated casualties and the ability to use cover and concealment to advantage.”
Third Generation War is all about mechanised infantry, tanks, air support, bypassing enemy lines, speed, surprise and manoeuvrability. WWII, the Korean War of 1950, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War of 1990 and the 2003 invasion of Iraq are all 3G wars.
Fourth Generation War is right in front of us being fought right within the Land of the Pure. Combatants are the state of Pakistan versus non-state violent actors (VNSA). But the distinction between a combatant and a non-combatant is blurring. The distinction between a soldier and a civilian is blurring. Even the distinction between war and politics is blurring.
The most important characteristic here is that the war is being fought at three different levels – physical, mental and moral. Intriguingly, physical combat is actually the least important. Then comes mental combat – the ‘will to fight’ and the ‘belief in victory’. The most important, however, is moral combat – ‘whose side is God on’.
The VNSAs have two goals: to survive and to convince the state of Pakistan that her goals are either unachievable or too costly. The VNSAs fighting the state of Pakistan have two objectives: To de-legitimise the state, and to make the state expend manpower. The coalition of the VNSAs wants to impose a government of their own or somehow bring back a historical, mythical, ‘divine-sanctioned’ structure of governance.
