400 Russian sailors head for Russia after fruitless training and waiting for Mistral

The 400 Russian sailors who arrived at the port of Saint Nazaire to learn how to operate Russia’s first Mistrals, the Vladivostok and Sevastopol, departed for Russia on Thursday aboard the training frigate Smolny. The Mistral-class warship delivery was due to take place on October but it was blocked by the French government due to EU and U.S. imposed sanctions on Russia over the conflict in Ukraine. It remains unclear whether France will deliver the ships to Moscow.
