Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States start Peace Mission 2014 joint exercises

China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have sent a total of more than 7,000 soldiers to participate in this exercises.

As an annual routine military exercise under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, The "Peace Mission -2014" is the first full joint military exercises in the framework of SCO in China.

According to the Department of Defense website news, the Chinese troops participating are from the Beijing Military 38th Army and Air Force headquarters directly under the Beijing Military region.

More than 5000 elite troops, more than 50 aircraft of various types, 440 sets of various types of equipment from Army and Air Force battle groupother supporting groups for strategic and operational support will take part in the exercises.

Air Force battle group will include the J-10, J-11, JH -7 aircraft,  integrated surveillance drones and several APC for paratroopers transport.
