South Korea's Korea Aerospace Industries is hoping to seal a $150 million deal with Turkey to deliver 15 additional indigenously-made KT-1T single-engine turboprop aircraft to Turkish air force.
An official from Korea Aerospace Industries, the nation’s sole aircraft manufacturer, said, “We have agreed with the Turkish government to export 15 KT-1 aircraft and the contract will be signed as early as next week.”

The two-seat jet KT-1T (Korean Trainer-1 Turkey) is a variant of the first indigenously developed Korean aircraft, the KT-1 Woongbee basic trainer. In 2007, the state-funded KAI agreed with Turkey to deliver 40 upgraded versions of the KT-1 Woongbee starting from 2010 for $350 million.
