At least two soldiers were wounded after a roadside bomb targeting an army convoy went off near Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway toll plaza on Sunday morning.

The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack in an email sent to journalists. “TTP commandos carried out the IED attack on an army truck on the Ring Road near motorway,” TTP spokesperson Mohammad Khorasani said in a statement.
Eleven soldiers were on board the vehicle, which was partially damaged. The military vehicle was entering Peshawar when it was targeted by the IED.
