Flight Test Function for Indonesian Air Force F-16 conducted Successfully





Implementation of Functional Check Flight or Function Test-52ID F16C aircraft tail number TS ber 1625 has been successfully held on 21 April 2014. Single-seat aircraft is the first aircraft that have completed the program in Depo regenerisasi Regenerisasi Hill AFB. Formerly Chief of Staff of the Air Force (Rafters), Marshal IB World Putu accompanied RI Air Attache in Washington DC, Pilot Col. Benedict B Koessetianto and Technical Liaison Officer Major Tech. Subagyo has conducted a working visit for 2 days at the Depot Regeneration Hill AFB, Utah on 4-5 April 2014. During the visit Rafters received a report of Maj Gen Brent Baker, Commander Logistics Complex on the implementation of the F-16 C/D-52ID regeneration in Project Peace Bima Sena II at Hill AFB. In this occasion rafters to carry out inspections carried aircraft hangar where regeneration. Rafters also saw the first plane directly (TS 1625) who have completed the upgrades and modifications. Rafters expressed the hope that regeneration can be implemented optimally planned schedule.

Procurement of 24 F-16s C/D-52ID is a collaboration between the U.S. and Indonesian Government under the contract signed on December 17, Januri 2012. Implementation regeneration include structural / airframe upgrade 24 aircraft Block 25 in order to have a longer service life, as well as the modernization of avionics systems and engines . It is expected that the regeneration program will enhance the ability of the aircraft structure so that it can be operated up to the lifetime period (service life) optimal. On the other hand the modernization of avionics and aircraft engines will have a combat capability that is equivalent to the F-16 block 52.

In addition to the procurement of 24 F-16 procurement contract also includes spare parts, support equipment, training, JMPS (Joint Mission Planning System), RIAIS (Rackmont Improve Aivonic Intermediate System), AME (Alternate Mission Equipment) and PMEL (Precision Equipment measurment Laboratory). Twenty C/D-52ID F-16 aircraft consisting of five aircraft F-16 D dual-seat aircraft and 19 F-16 C single-seater will be delivered in stages to Indonesia. Six pilots Air Squadron 3 has begun to implement training "Differential Training" in Tucson Arizona starting on 30 June to 14 July 2014. Subsequently two pilots will join the first three aircraft ferry flight from Utah-Alaska-Guam-Madison with refueling water throughout the course of the planned departure date of July 15 to July 20, 2014 arriving at Iswahjudi Air Force Base, Madiun, East Java.

Procurement of 24 F-16 C/D-52ID will complement Air Squadron 3 Squadron Iswahjudi Air Force Base and the Air Force base 16 Rusmin Nuryadin to increase the combat strength of the Air Force as the backbone of the aerospace force (Air Power) in order to maintain our national security in Indonesia.
