- Bombing a mosque or setting it on fire.
- Stealing holy relics from Hazratbal shrine.
- Vandalizing Hindu or Buddhist temples to instigate paramilitary or police personnel.
- Incite stone pelting mobs by spreading fake encounters, killing rape, molestation and death rumors.
- Create shortage of food and rations for ordinary citizens and blame it on government.
- Distribute IEDs and suicide vests to unemployed youth.
- Sneak in heavy weapons AK47s, RPGs to POK bordering villages.

Operation Gibralter failed in 1965.
Operation Gibraltar was the codename given to the strategy of Pakistan to infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir, and instigate the locals in starting a rebellion against Indian sovereignty.
Pakistan specifically chose this name to draw a parallel to the Muslim invasion of Spain that was launched from the port of Gibraltar
