Nepal quake relief mission
Dear foreign aid workers/countries in Nepal,
Please allow the Nepal Army to save face even when they have failed
Government of Nepal(and its military) has failed but make them look good too in the eyes of Nepali people.
Else Nepali politics will rear its ugly head and play in the hands of the Nepali Maoists.
The Americans allowed the French Army to "liberate" Paris in WW2 on 25 August 1944 even when the Americans under Gen. Patton did all the fighting.

Nepalese Army Air Service takes delivery of ALH Dhruv Mark 3
Jai Jai Shiva Shambo
Prime Minister of Nepal Sushil Koirala at Kathmandu took delivery of Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) -- Dhruv -- built by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on behalf of Nepalese Army Air Service at a special ceremony organized at Army Pavilion, Tundikhel from Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi.
"This is in line with PM's thrust on 'Make in India' and the government's policy of neighbourhood," said R K Tyagi, Chairman, HAL. The company's technical support team is positioned at Kathmandu to provide maintenance and logistics support. Earlier, India had supplied two Dhruv helicopters to Nepalese Army in November last year, added Tyagi.
Nepal has reciprocated this friendship by signing deal to build a $1 billion hydroelectric plant to boost supplies in the energy-starved Himalayan nation and export power to India. The agreement, which was endorsed by Nepal's Cabinet late Monday, comes two months after a similar deal with another Indian company. In September, Nepal signed an agreement with Indian company GMR to build the $1.15 billion Upper Karnali Hydro power plant.
They are the two largest private foreign investments in Nepal and put India ahead of neighboring China, which has long shown interest in developing Nepal's power industry.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over the chopper to Nepal during his participation in the 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit.
Prime Minister Modi will hand over the helicopter to the Nepal Army amidst a program to be organized at the Army Pavilion Tundilkhel upon his arrival on Tuesday. According to a source, at first Modi will hand over the helicopter to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and then Koirala will hand over the chopper to Chief of Army Staff General Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana.
“Indian Prime Minster will hand over the chopper to the Nepal Army amidst a special program at Army Pavilion Tundikhel on Tuesday,” said Nepal Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Jagadish Chandra Pokharel, adding, “The helicopter, which Nepal is receiving as aid, has been already brought to Kathmandu on Saturday.”
Dhruv Mark 3 chopper manufactured by Indian state-owned aerospace and defense company Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd will be kept at the Army Pavilion Tundikhel during handover program.
The chopper is being provided to Nepal in accordance with the past agreement reached between Nepal and India.
