Chinese PLANAF fighter crashes into a sewing machine factory in Taizhou

A Chinese Navy fighter jet crashed into a factory in east China's Zhejiang province Wednesday evening, causing damage to the factory building but no injuries.

Navy spokesman Liang Yang said in a statement that the fighter jet of the East China Sea Fleet was flying a night training mission when it crashed into a sewing machine factory in Taizhou around 19:30.

He added that the pilot parachuted safely to the ground and there were no casualties reported.

The navy and the East China Sea Fleet are dealing with the aftermath of the accident and the cause of the crash is to be further investigated, said the spokesman.
