Australia sends frigates - HMAS Parramatta and Stuart - to flank Russian naval convoy ahead of G20

Two Australian frigates, the HMAS Parramatta and Stuart, have been dispatched to flank and monitor a Russian naval convoy in the waters off northern Australia.The Russian convoy is currently in the Coral Sea off the coast of Australia, and it remains in international waters.

Russian embassy in Canberra said on Facebook that the convoy was conducting routine activities, and was not heading for Australia.
