First batch of German ATF Dingo delivered to Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga

Last weekend, Germany provided the first armored vehicles of the type " Dingo ", in northern Iraq. With a previous flight even rifles G36 arrived in Erbil.

On November 2 there at the airport of Erbil bustle. Against 14 clock lands an Antonov AN-124 on behalf of the Federal Government. There are another 80 tons of material for the Peshmerga on board. Material that they urgently need the front on which they deliver themselves fierce fighting with the terrorist militia "Islamic State" runs but only in around 35 miles away.

Especially eagerly aboard the two vehicles are expected. This is the first "dingo", which are now supplied with the third installment. The deputy commander of Peshmerga Depot, Colonel S., the need not stress enough: "The dingoes are very important for us, because we get protected vehicles for rapid transport to the front with them."

G36 are already there


A few days before the first shipment of assault rifles G36 had already arrived in northern Iraq. 1,560 guns were handed over along with four other SUV type "Wolf" and three trucks 2 tons "Unimog" on the peshmerga. The water used in the army as a standard weapon rifle is new to the Kurdish fighters. So far they have been trained in Erbil by German soldiers in the machine gun MG3, in P1 pistols and assault rifles in the type G3. The introduction of the G36 will begin shortly.
