Security forces killed on Friday six wanted terror suspects involved in the killing of their cousin Sgt. Badr Hamdi Al-Rashidi following a chase in the northern Hail desert, according to the security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior.
The killed terror suspects are Wael Muslim Naile Al-Rashidi, Moataz Muslim Naile Al-Rashidi, Naile Muslim Naile Al-Rashidi, Ibrahim Khalif Atqaa Al-Rashidi, Zaher Salem Naile Al-Rashidi and Sami Salem Naile Al-Rashidi, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The spokesman said that the wanted criminals were spotted while they were traveling in a pickup with tinted glass toward Hail near Oglat Al-Sokhor in Al-Qassim Province. When they found that the security forces were chasing them, they fired at them.
This resulted in an exchange of fire and eventually the security forces surrounded them in a mountainous region near a dam in Hail region. When they ignored the repeated calls from security officials to surrender, the security forces intensified the firing and killed all of them. No one from the security forces was hurt in the shootout, the spokesman said.
Al-Rashidi, a sergeant in the Special Emergency Force in Qassim province, was killed in cold blood by six of his relatives who were Daesh (the so called IS) supporters. Al-Rashidi, 32, was married with two children and his wife is pregnant with their third child. Al-Rashidi spent about 12 years in the military service and was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Al-Rashidi’s wife recently said that the six relatives used their blood ties with her defenseless husband to lure him to an isolated place where they could kill him. According to reports, Al-Rashidi received a telephone call from two of his cousins who asked to meet him to hand him something sent by his grandparents for his mother. When he arrived at the destination on the Riyadh-Qassim Road, his cousins pulled him out of the car and killed him.
Security agencies had identified the six killers and announced a reward for those who gave information leading to their arrest. The security spokesman at the ministry said nearly two weeks ago that anyone who reported on the whereabouts of the wanted people is entitled to financial reward. A reward of SR1 million was set for information leading to the arrest of one wanted person and SR5 million in the event of the arrest of more than one.
