Royal Malaysian Air Force training plane forced to make emergency landing

A Pilatus PC-7 MKII Pilot Air Force (RMAF) training aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on the runway of the Alor Setar Air Force College (KTU) in Kedah.

RMAF, through a statement this morning, said that during the incident, the aircraft belonging to the college was piloted by a trainee from Kolej Penerbangan 1 (INSPENSE 1) in a solo flight last night.

“The plane departed at 10.14pm before facing an emergency when it tried to land at 10.38pm.

“However, the plane landed safely and the pilot did not suffer any injuries,” the statement said.

Following the incident, RMAF would establish an investigating team to identify the cause of the problem.
