n L-39, the jet trainer crashed during a training flight in Kharkiv region. Ukrainian Military Portal reported that on late Tuesday.
The incident took place July 2.
The plane fell near Starovirivka settlement, not far from Chuguiv town; the pilot, the flight cadet of Kharkiv Air Force National University managed to bail out successfully. After the landing, the man contacted his command and reported he was fine. The University sent a search and rescue team to pick him up.

The preliminary report says that the incident was caused by the engine malfunction.
L-39s are the training fighter jets mainly used by Ukraine's Air Force.
