Pakistani pilots injured in MFI-17 Mushshak crash in Ziarat

Two pilots were wounded after their MFI-17 Mushshak aircraft—fixed gear trainer aircraft, crashed near the hills of Ziarat, about 40-kilometres off Khalid Airbase Quetta, on Saturday morning.



A military aircraft crashed in Balochistan's Ziarat district on Saturday morning, a security official said, leaving two pilots injured.

A security official who requested anonymity said the two pilots injured during the crash were rushed to Ziarat for medical treatment by locals of the area. Pilots Captain Omar and Captain Hasnain Mehmood were later shifted to Quetta in an army helicopter for further treatment.
He added that the aircraft was on training when it suddenly crashed in Ziarat, Balochistan's Northern tourist point.

"The aircraft crashed as result of a technical problem," he added.Levies and police personnel reached the site where the plane had crashed and started an investigation into the incident.The security official stated that the injured were being provided medical treatment in the Combined Military Hospital Quetta.
