The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will conduct military exercises in various areas from Monday September 8 to Monday September 15.
These exercises will be conducted at Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang and Mandai.Blanks and thunderflashes will be used. The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.
SAF will also conduct Live Firing Exercises in Pasir Laba (SAFTI) Live Firing Area from 8am on September 8 to 8am on September 15.Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits during the same period should keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not stray into the Live Firing Boundary.Live ammunition and flares will be used.The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.Additionally, the islands of Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang and Pulau Pawai are proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds. The public is advised to keep clear of these islands, and to stay clear of the prohibited waters off Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base.
The Republic of Singapore Air Force will also be conducting live firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang from September 8 to September 12 from 7am to 11pm daily, and then again from 8am on September 13 to 12pm on September 14.
